Legal
Privacy Policy
What this site collects, why it collects it, how long it keeps it, and the rights available to visitors in the EEA, UK, California and elsewhere.
Who is responsible
This site is operated by the team that publishes Top-Up Check. We do not run accounts, a newsletter, a contact form or a backend database.
Privacy questions can be sent through the contact page. If you are in the EEA or UK, the operator is the controller for the processing described here.
What we collect
We collect two kinds of data. Server logs are generated by the hosting provider and contain an IP address, user agent, requested URL and timestamp. Optional analytics are collected only after you allow them.
- Essential: the pages you request, used to deliver the site and prevent abuse.
- Analytics (optional): anonymous page views, scroll depth, outbound clicks and tool usage.
- Advertising (optional): consent signals and ad interaction data handled by the ad provider, if advertising is ever enabled.
- Contact: whatever you include when you send us a message. There is no contact form or newsletter.
Legal bases (EEA and UK)
Essential processing relies on our legitimate interest in operating a secure website. Analytics and advertising rely on your consent, which you can withdraw at any time through “Cookie settings”.
Where consent is not the basis, we process messages to answer your request and keep records as required by law.
How long we keep data
Hosting logs are kept by the provider for up to 30 days. Aggregated analytics are kept for up to 14 months. Consent records are kept in your browser for 12 months so we can respect your choice. Messages are kept only as long as needed to handle the request.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or object to processing. EEA and UK visitors may also lodge a complaint with their local supervisory authority. California residents may request to know, delete or correct personal information, and may opt out of sale or sharing; this site does not sell personal information.
To exercise a right, use the contact page. We may need to verify your request. We do not discriminate against visitors who exercise privacy rights.
International transfers and processors
The site is served by a hosting and CDN provider. Optional analytics and advertising providers may process data outside your country, including in the United States, under their own safeguards. A current list of processors is available on request.
Children
The site is not directed at children under 13, or the minimum age in your country. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Contact us if you believe a child has provided data.
Changes
We will update the date at the top of this page when the policy changes. Material changes will be announced on the home page before they take effect.
